Reporting to the Executive Vice-President

Manage the restaurants/bar/concessions and make sure that it operates efficiently and profitably.  Responsible for the business performance of the restaurants, bar, and concessions.  Maintaining high standards for food, service, health and safety.

Combine strategic planning, shift pattern organization and day-to-day management activities.

Functions

  • Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development;
  • Identify and estimate quantities of foods, beverages, and supplies to be ordered.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and staff.
  • Evaluate health and safety practices according to standards.
  • Organise, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Take decisions and solve problems regarding menus and staff.
  • Monitor and oversee purchases, menus, staff, and payroll.
  • Guide, direct, and train staff.
  • Coordinate the work and activities of staff.
  • Resolve customer complaints related to food quality or service.
  • Meet with sales representatives to order supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years experience in Restaurant Management
  • Knowledge of MaitreD and Azbar
  • Knowledge of FOODSAFE, WHMIS 
  • Must have proven experience as a Chef, Catering Manager, or equivalent
  • Human resource management skills
  • Financial management skills such as basic accounting and cost of goods analysis
  • Good communication, leadership, time management and analytical skills
  • Bilingual
